MAGAZINE MUSINGS
In China, modern fashion magazines have spread from Shanghai at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, when Western influences began to permeate into the country. It was in this vibrant metropolis, rich in cultural and intellectual heritage, that ICICLE was founded in 1997. Open to the world, it draws inspiration from traditional Chinese thought while embracing a forward-looking vision.
The root of the words “杂志” (the Chinese translation of “magazine”) are related to clothing, colours, and graphic records. Through these issues, ICICLE seeks, much like in its collections, to capture the beauty of everyday life with simplicity and subtlety. This curated collection of stories is intended as a memory box for the season, bringing you tales told by our multicultural creative community.
