At the Threshold of the Visible

For the first half of 2026, ICICLE’s cultural program turns toward the moment just before form becomes clear. This is a space of transition where perception falters, where presence and absence overlap and meaning begins to emerge. Across exhibitions in the ICICLE Cultural Spaces in Paris and Shanghai, four French and Chinese artists explore this liminal terrain through practices that are distinct but conversant. Their works move between appearance and disappearance, memory and sensation, the real and the imagined. Nothing is fully revealed; nothing entirely withheld. In an accelerating age awash with images, this season proposes a slower way of seeing. A gaze that lingers, listens, and allows the invisible to surface in due course. To stand at the threshold is not to seek resolution, but to remain open—to other rhythms, other cultures, other ways of inhabiting the world.

ICICLE CULTURAL SPACES

ICICLE’s Cultural Spaces in Shanghai and Paris embody the brand’s commitment to dialogue, discovery, and cross-cultural exchange.

In Paris, the Cultural Space—situated on the third floor of the avenue George V store—offers a dynamic programme of exhibitions dedicated to art and design, alongside an eclectic bookshop whose selection spans the visual arts, literature, philosophy, history, and traditional practices.

In Shanghai, the ICICLE Space at ICCF Garden provides a platform for encounters between artists and cultural thinkers from East and West, nurturing a global community rooted in shared artistic and cultural exploration.
