THE NATURE OF FIVE
EXHIBITION | 2 - 4 OCTOBER 2026
From 2–4 October 2026, at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, ICICLE presented The Nature of Five, an exhibition devoted to Wuxing, the Five Elements of Chinese thought: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
Across five colours, collections and fragrances, the exhibition followed a cycle in which each element gave way to the next. The Celestial Guardian tile-ends of the Han dynasty introduced the cosmology, while contemporary silhouettes translated it into material, texture and form. The exhibition also marked the media launch of ICICLE’s first fragrance collection and ten years of Gambiered Canton Gauze in ICICLE collections.
From ancient symbols to contemporary forms, The Nature of Five traced the connections between nature, culture and creation, revealing a world in which everything exists in relation to what comes before and follows after.
