Crafted from discarded coffee grounds, ICICLE’s coffee-dyed capsule collection blends sustainability with innovative techniques in manufacture. Marrying modern aesthetics with a sophisticated, eco-conscious ethos.
RESPONSIBLE DYEING
The design and production model ICICLE has adopted distinguishes it from many conventional fashion brands. It stems from an ongoing pursuit of oneness between man, Nature and society, deeply inspired by ancient Eastern wisdom.
The need to make the best use of Nature’s limited resources is deeply rooted in Chinese culture. By striving to repurpose, reuse, and recycle whatever is possible, China has been able to support its large population for centuries. Season after season, this pragmatic ethos drives ICICLE’s commitment to innovation.
For Autumn / Winter 2024, ICICLE unveils a capsule collection dyed with discarded coffee grounds, using an innovative and patented technique developed in Japan. Collected from various partner coffee shops and roasteries, the coffee grounds are repurposed and given a new life.
LOVE OF DETAIL
Drawing on ICICLE’s love of detail, the coffee-dyed cotton and linen capsule combines elements of workwear and country outdoor attire, featuring generous volumes, corduroy details, large pockets, and fine quilting for texture and functionality.
They interplay with alpaca wool coats, cashmere knits and trousers, merino wool dresses. Intentionally left undyed, these fibres reveal their natural beauty. The collection features various shades of brown, all stemmed from Nature, ICICLE’s main inspiration.
