WOOD COLLECTION | SPRING/SUMMER 2026

RETRACING STROKES

The Chinese-born artist Sanyu, who lived and painted in Paris, is now regarded as one of the most important Asian artists active in France during the twentieth century. His work followed a logic of reduction: form, line and empty space defined his painterly language. The Wood collection draws from this approach, and from Wood as one of the Five Agents in Chinese philosophy. Wood represents growth, continuity, and direction. It describes a system in motion, shaped over time. These ideas translate into garments emphasising proportion, material choice, and repetition, reflecting a way of dressing that values duration, clarity, and use.
